Does a preview change my catalog?
No. Selected preview compares proposed changes and checks permitted feed pages for duplicate SKUs. It does not update the receiver or download image content. Source values can change afterward, so review changed settings/source configuration with a fresh preview.
What should I do when an import fails?
Review Background Import Jobs and Incomplete Imports / Retry, correct the reported error, and retry unfinished work. Completed steps stay saved. Recovery records begin with imports started under 1.09 or later; older unfinished work needs targeted repair.
Will retrying overwrite completed prices or descriptions?
Recovery uses saved options and current authorized source data for unfinished steps. Completed steps are not reapplied. A step interrupted before its checkpoint may execute again.
How do category pictures work?
Enable Sync Category Images on the 1.11 sender to publish mapped category and ancestor images. Enable it on the receiver for images during full/selected imports. Repair Category Images can fill pictures on existing categories by full path independently of that receiver setting. Leave replacement off to preserve healthy pictures.
Why is an item blocked?
Review duplicate SKUs, changed source/receiver identities, authorization, missing mappings, and ambiguous category paths. The system stops rather than applying work to an uncertain target.
Does the search box limit every repair?
Queue All Matching Products uses vendor and SKU/name search across all pages. Targeted image/specification/manufacturer repairs use the vendor scope and ignore product search. Existing-SKU visibility affects the browsing page, not the full queued import.
Which site should I upgrade first?
Upgrade the sender to 1.11 before the receiver, back up both sites, and update in place without uninstalling. Category pictures and source-side filtered pagination need a 1.11 sender. Test a small selection before a full run.
